So I have a genuine question for you indies, why do some of you blame your failure on idol culture and Hololive or go around denouncing it? why do you even care?

Sanitized? is it because the girls don't talk about dick or say cum and piss or go full political or reacted to johnny depps trial? I've checked indies, Vshojo, Niji and the only difference between those is that 2 of those are allowed to watch discord memes on stream.... the games they play are almost the same shit. I also checked roomates to see some kind of change but they act the exact fucking same as their personas.

Tbh, just enjoy what you enjoy. People drifted away. Your first Holo member you watched might not become your oshi. Same thing happening here. The point is that Holo is entry point to vtubers in general now, and actually pretty balanced too in that it has yabai content, but generally still safe enough to let child watching. The definition of PG. But you won't get R-18 from Holo, and you won't convince anyone who wanted that to stay.

And in general, considering their meteoric rise, the entire Hololive have handled it pretty well. Hiccups happened, but the entire company is pretty agile considering its also a japanese company. It can take criticism and improve. It can also bend the rules or revise the rules if needed. Its still a japanese company, but its a pretty modern japanese company
