Maybe you have an unrealized Twitch Turbo subscription or iirc they push ads more to specific regions. Point is that I was able to block ads with just default uBlock origin, but after they put in the effort to break adblockers, i've had to put in custom filter lists and install various third party extensions just to block ads.

They also have it in the content creators' contracts to play X amount of ads every couple of hours or so, it can be really bad with some channels running 6 ads in a row
