I was just watching some of those hololive moments compilations from 1 or 2 years ago and it really makes me realise the golden age is long behind us

the general feeling is much lighter, cordial
compared to now, so many chuubas seem tired, demoralised, burnt out
maybe not even outright, but the energy is lower across the board imo
and many chuubas have thoroughly figured out their persona so that it feels less genuine and more like an act---still entertaining but just lacking the freshness of a bright eyed hire still figuring it out with the rest of their gen

i dont think i even knew hololive was a thing when i first started watching
it was just 5 am and i saw a strange stream in japanese that looked interesting and i had no clue what was going on but it was entertaining
it was rushias undertale playthrough

But that's because they are. And not just in the mental sense, of motivation, they're also literally, physically tired. Constant behind the scenes work, dance lessons for multiple projects and etc. They're working really hard. This is no longer a gig where they're either streaming or doing whatever they want, now whenever they're not streaming, they're working. Streaming is the thing they do on their free time now.
Marine kind of touches on this general shift in mood in her new song, but still concludes that it's worth fighting for that happiness, and that it won't be handed to you, you have to do your part.

In some level it's also just inevitable, it's the natural effect of something losing its novelty. The very first part of the thing you clipped is just them saying "hey guys" to "summon the overseas fans". It's not a surprise or even a bad thing that you need more than "cute noises" to be satisfied years later. It's why you should be doing your reps, so you're not relying on that for your enjoyment. Personally, I'm really into the music, concerts and all that stuff, so to me they're not only still good, but better than ever. Can't imagine saying "the best times are behind us" and linking to a clip before Floral Circlet, before the sololives, before Still Still Stellar, before Unison, and so on.

Hololive doesn't generate any emotions in me now as a result of the pain they caused me with their Taiwan episode.
They managed to anger me so much with it that I literally experienced an aneurysm, followed by an ego and consciousness death and amnesia.
I spent 1 year trying to recover my own identity after that, but there is a clear disconnect between the current me and the previous me.
To the current me my past self is dead, and I gained a strong resilience and resistance to emotions both good and bad.

This protects me from the negative effects of strong emotions, but I feel like a monk who was forcefully converted into stoicism.
The only two things which still generate emotions are music and meditation.
