I understand that vtubing won't last forever but why couldn't she just talk about her plans with her viewers? Why manipulate them like that by promising tons of content after being done with wagie reps? Well shitposting aside, most of them massively cut back in the recent few weeks, and I think its because they did get a backlash for all of it.

However you can't just expect immediate results, people are already annoyed with it and will be for a long while. They already have the image of constant collabs and bringing males into yuri-bait off-collabs as a "surprise", and they built this image up over months and constant collabs which has pissed off the original fanbase.
If they keep it cut down then maybe things will change in a few months, but don't expect people to just suddenly forget months of constant collabs just because for 2 weeks they slowed it down.
