Why would you assume she isn't already? She's interacted with Shuba plenty, from Minecraft to Sausage Legends. Shuba's even invited her over to hang out. As for Chloe, Polka's already gone to a public bath with her at least once.

They interacted a lot early. There were several phasmo streams, lots of Polka/Nene teasing shuba in MC, Sausage legends, etc. They haven't much since MC died down, but most recently before that I remember the Shuba/Polka/Kronii discord, and Polka/Flare convincing Shuba to destroy and Ender Crystal. Also Polka plans to take part in Subaru's Peko/Chama MC trials.

As far as I know, the bathing is the only Chloe/Polka reference mentioned. Chloe said a senpai invited her after hearing she doesn't like baths, and Koyori outed Polka during Polka's guest spot on Koyori's radio show. But given how inviting Polka tends to be, I wouldn't be surprised if there is more.

I think she only interacted with Chloe on stream as part of group collabs, and I have never seen someone confirming Sakamata actually accepted that invitation.

It's not a rrat. I forget what stream it was but it was one of the old zatsudan streams. Chat was asking about why hologram circus is not available on streaming service when her other songs were already available. She explained that she was in negotiation with cover over the royalties for the song at the time. People's take away was that Polka actually owns the Rights to the song and cover would have to pay her for the rights to have it on a streaming service.

Po was created much later after Polka had been established. It's likely that it's production had cover's backing and money behind it and the rights / royalties for it was negotiated ahead of time.

Before Polka's debut, no one had ever debut with with their own original character song before. It's likely that due to the rush job in getting Polka in as part of Gen 5 at the very last minuet, production of the song was not something Cover payed attention to. Cover basically seeded all the rights to Polka. But, since Polka owned all the rights to the song she also had to pay all the costs for the production of the song in the end. This now is a problem since Polka essentially owned her own character song which Cover had no rights to and some office manager is not ok with having a song on the books which they have no leverage over.

I felt the same way at first. I went back and listened to the original, and then Polka's again. As far as I can tell the music is exactly the same, and it feels like Polka's voice just overpowers the music at certain points.

Because of that, and everything she's doing with her voice, there are parts of the song that feel almost like a karaoke version rather than a cover. It's not bad, and I still enjoy the cover, but definitely not what I expected going into it.

Poruka isn't my oshi either, but she's easily one of my top 3 favorite singers in Hololive and I listen to her music a lot. She always puts a lot of her own personality and emotion into her covers and it really makes her stand out. Her cover of that Proud Idol song is strictly superior to the original in my opinion.
