I am quite sure that the view count should be higher than what it was showing . I mean its the same thing with En vtubers. Gura gets less viwers than Botan someitmes but her Vod views are up there with Marine.
I think its maybe because when Towa is streaming with Jp members, mostly the Jp audience are watching her, so the view count is not affected that much(as she is getting 90% of the views from one country). Whereas when she is streaming during the NA time she is gonna get viewers from different nations(and so the viewcount is curled).

I can't remember any gold being that low last year.
And 2020 had Pekora/Marine during Q3 with an 20k+ median. Gura's debut is in late Q3 and is mental, she leads the pack followed by Pekora.
This leads me to believe we might have to go back to Q1 or early Q2 2020 but my memory might just be forgetting some really low gold last year. But Nijisani are not accounted for here and they should have been more of a force at that time.

Through the ENTIRE time of processing, Towa and Gura’s vods have stuck within 40-50k of eachother. Karaoke isn't the problem. Karaoke wins plenty of holoen of normal golds. It's that nijis could not sing English songs until now so these were valuable first time buffs. They'll trail off with the second, third etc karaokes until they're just buffs and not giant "everyone get in here" beacons.

It’s too hard to predict what their ccv is for 2 reasons in particular:
>1. Ends up with extrapolating a number from an already proven number, aka a number is just made up
2. To what extent is believable/reasonable to the eyes of anons who won’t flip their shit at the idea of X having Y number instead of Z number

I think at the minimum, at least for Gura, that 40% is a reasonable start if we’re to believe viewers are being culled. I know some people will flip their shit being like “THATS TOO HIGH FUCK YOUR OSHI” etc. but seriously, it’s not even that crazy and far fetched. Adding 40% to a 15k avg ccv puts it at 21k. Is 21k so ridiculous when we see someone like Pekora average 22k+ and get lower views? You know what I mean? Like if we have a 500k+ vod on our hands are we really going to say that idk, 18-19k was the correct average ccv there? Or that 25k/27k (close to 28k) is more reasonable an average? That’s just the way I look at it. In the end we can’t prove so as a random anon, just play around with the numbers sometimes when stream ends and see if that fits the bill. Because to me, a lot of cases seem far more reasonable doing the 40% increase than not doing any at all.
