Look, Pakeal is a beast and got 13th place. Matsuri been competing for years and got 17th. It was a rough tourney for a lot of folk. 16th that bad for a complete scrub team like Startend that had basically every factor going against their success.

No, its because she is fun to bully and watching her cry makes people coom. If people unironically hate her she would have high placements in hated vtubers ranking, which literally never happens. Even if, theoretically, Suisei will have as much antis they wouldn't dare say a thing since at best Suisei will ignore them, or at worst Suisei makes fun of them for five seconds before continuing with whatever she does. This finish was around what I expected them to get prior to scrims. Then they started doing well the few scrims before the actual tournament and I developed false hope for a higher placement. It would've nice to see them place higher, but in the end I didn't really care how they finished. I just hope to see more StartEnd content later. Even though it'll never be as much as these 4 hour+ streams.

Doing well at scrims is almost like a curse, especially for inexperienced teams. It's the time the stronger teams will try stupid shit to see what works like new comps, map rotations or how to engage fights, and having a coach to watch this while they're playing and then relay all this info after the match is really important. StartEnd had horrendous luck with the rings, so they should've drill how to approach the worst rings for them, but even if they probably did that they only really had themselves to discuss what went wrong/right. As for comps since they only really streamed twice during scrims week I don't know if they tried other characters, including those that fit Aqua's more aggressive playstyle (something they tried on the 5th match). Another glaring weak spot was Valk's ult usage because they didn't really know what to do when they met other players on the landing zone, and sometimes used it on times where it wouldn't give them any advantage. Overall their placement wasn't really that bad considering their weaknesses and how the matches against their favor (it's a BR after all, luck is a big consideration), and I don't know if Suisei will go try hard mode on Apex to do better next time but I wouldn't complain (as long as the entire schedule doesn't become Apex grind) because I really want to see if she can bring her autism and competitiveness to it like she did with Tetris and MK.

During the 1 week scrim period Pakael's team was dominating almost every other team, getting at least 1 champion everyday and Pakael himself even got the most kills and damage during that period. Then comes the tournament day, everyone was stoked that their team got it in the bag.

Not really. 2 Holostars teams got 5th place on Vsai1 and 2, and Matsuri got top 4 on Vsai3. Holopro was always there, really close to the top 3, but never reached unfortunately. And with this possibly being the last Apex Vsai it's rather sad that we don't know when's the next time it could happen, especially with a pure Holopro team since if the next one is Valorant or, god forbid, OW2, having a 5-stack of Holopro will be way harder.

Aqua was Insanely popular in bug land, so a lot of delusional people thought that she was going to say something against Hololive and defend them. This of course, never happened. Aqua did the smart thing and stayed quiet. Bugman took this as her being a "traitor" and started a fucking group to personally harass all of her content. She got dislike bombed, ghosted and trolled in any online vidya she played. Spammed hate comments on her channel, Twitter, etc. This lasted for years. The best part about competing are the friendships you make in the way (cheesy, I know). Vsai is such an interesting tournament because of the mixed teams with chuubas from all over the scene, agency and indies alike, and the players always come out of it knowing more people. While I enjoyed Hoshi no Kanata, I think the separation turned out for the better for both members.

Buf if we must:

Suisei's past life was a huge fan of Kanata's past life to the point of drawing profile pics for her.

Suisei likes singing more than anything and singing with Kanata is something she specifically went out of her way to do.

Last year, Kanata talked about not wanting to be seen as a certain member's sidekick without naming names. Kanata still collabs regularly with all her other Hololive friends that are more popular than her except Suisei.

Suisei wasn't that much bigger in terms of streaming success than Kanata back then but was much more successful musically.

Suisei has collabed with Kanata once since then but has avoided (to my knowledge) mentioning anything Kanata does musically: original songs, concerts, and also went out of her way to avoid talking about Kanata's solo in 3rd Fes.

Things I don't buy:

1. Kanata turned down Suisei's confession. This does line up with their behavior to a certain degree but Suisei doesn't have any issues mentioning Coco at all when it's relevant.

2. Kanata cut off Suisei due to a Mario Kart jab. After the Mario Kart tournament, Suisei had Kanata voice over her when she had throat issues in Mario Kart no less and Kanata participated in Suisei's 3rd Anniversary concert including a cover that appeared on Kanata's channel. If there was a split, it happened afterwards.

3. Coco's excuse that Suisei had a different circle of friends. That is true in the sense that Suisei is a lot closer to Toko, Lupinus, Ran and maybe some others than any Hololive member.

But in terms of Hololive members, Suisei's best friends over a year ago seemed to be Kanata, Matsuri, Coco, and Rushia in that order. Towa and Miko only became closer afterwards.

Now, Suisei didn't make Kanata's short list of friends in Marine's survey but that doesn't mean Kanata wasn't Suisei's closest friend in Hololive. (You could make a case for Matsuri and putting it that way I kind of want to...)

That being said, if Coco was just putting it politely that Suisei didn't fit in with their group that does kind of line up with what we know.

And a couple of the scrim streams got 20k peaks before dropping off. It's funny because 99% of this thread doesn't even expect her to be in the tournament when it was announced. Yet, some act like they expected it from the start and cannot even have a valid argument against the counter-evidence other than muh numberfagging.
The reason she was there was mainly because of Aqua. Aqua was in a rough mental stage last year from the uncontrollable problems. And this tournament is to help her boost her confidence and integrate her back into the forefront. Suisei might be the only low-skill holo who can handle that amount of pressure without breaking down halfway so she is very essential for the team. It's nice for her to be someone like that. I also think she is pretty decent at Apex. Some factors affect her perceived performance that is out of her control.
That said it doesn't like concernfags was wrong. They are right about the whole event doesn't benefit Suisei much in the grand scheme, especially with the amount of time she sank in.

I think the shorts are too short and remind me of bloomers too much. It may have been the intention to make the outfit somewhat top heavy for some kind of contrast purpose like the orange leggings were, but I do feel it fails since now it looks like her bottom half is undressed which is too much of a contrast with the hyperformality of a princess dress.

The head is completely wrong, it has no fingerboard, the scale length is absurdly long, no volume or tune knobs. It's a plank of wood that vaguely resembles a guitar.

not him but the only thing that stood out to me the most is how the head's tuning pecks make no sense.
the rest seems completely excusable as a stylistic choice (not drawing the frets, not properly placing the pickups) so i couldn't tell you what that other anon is thinking. honestly the design itself looks really cool too, i really like it.
