Few months ago, some autist anon came here and sperged on the board until 40 of us went to sub to his oshi, so she could hit a milestone.

Not that anon, but I went to watch her because of him. Pretty cute, and a decent singer, though a lot of it is Mahjong and Apex.

Never seen an indie """comfy""" streamer that are true to their name. All I've seen that claim to be comfy end up in one of two categories:

1) Low energy, "chill" menhera types that dump their emotions on the viewer, making chat her therapist. Which is fun at first but over time gets more stressful as a viewer to watch.

2) The "omggg youre so sweet this is so wholesomeeee" Animal Crossing girl types that, while superficially comfy, also for some reason all shit-talk / bully / be passive aggressive with each other, and you realize they're just all pretty rude/toxic people.

Only person I've seen close to genuinely comfy is Ina. While she does genuinely seem like a super nice person, even that is probably only possible because she is a corporate vtuber and therefore obligated to show her best self in stream whenever possible. We never see her bad days, we only see her happy.

Tbh, what I listed is more regarding streamers in general and not vtubers. But it's one of the reasons I quit watching indie and stick to Holo/Niji now.

I don't consider the 2) option as a comfy type at all, rather, sugar-sweet? Didn't really encounter 1) but maybe I just didn't see through it.
Also if someone says that they are comfy themselves then it's a big no-no I'd say.
My recommendations would be Niji too, yeah. But I don't think it's much different with indies.
For me it's just someone who can do marathons with no changes in the stream flow or how loud they are because they were never loud in the first place. You know how even someone Ollie or Korone or Pekora gets tired of being active 10 hours into the game and starting to get less responsive? If speaking in general think of, let's say, Factorio streamers just doing their stuff while interacting with chat. Maybe someone more interested in the game rather than in streaming itself while still giving a good impression?

Shirayuri Lily has 100k but I never see her mentioned. Speaks 80 percent japanese and 20 percent fluent English.

She has streamed almost everyday for a scary long time, works hard for those subs. I think she still needs to find her niche though.
