The SENPAITACHI TTRPG you linked is pretty great. Japanese style of course so it's a pretty short one-shot of going through the prepared scenes, but they really sell the horror atmosphere.

she'd certainly fit.

however,
the worst thing about Fauna is we now know she
1: has the most game experience
2: it's with DnD 4th
3: she has zero interest in GMing a game.
i really wish she'd up and start a campaign / series to compete with Calli, but it's not going to happen.

Too much work, too much responsibility. She realizes that GMing is not easy.

GMing D&D feels like a job sometimes too, even if you're on the "Wing it, ignore numbers and just say the party did enough damage for the enemy to start limping away" style of it. Sure that most parties of complete newbies with one relatively experienced GM can manage, but add that to the fact they have to do these RPG collabs on a tight schedule, it's just asking too much. If they grab an easier game system, use a drop-in drop-out method of handling the players and just go full pretzels and beers, it can work.

all of this

there is a reason japan's idea of RPG is very different from our idea of RPG.
--Akibahara style gets shit done in 2-3 hours. usually one shots
like a movie.
--Gygaxian style has a rambling campaign of several 5-8 hour sessions, usually 2-8, can be a lot more.

I always wanted to watch and an Akibahara-styled rpg but obviously I don't speak Japanese. I watched Petra's rpg stream with the JPs and the worldbuilding and pace were pretty unique to me.

it's different, you toss a bunch of the minutae and bullshit and just do what you need.
--also, a lot of the games assume that everyone has already gotten the download on what the setting is supposed to be, so no exposition, just dive in....

Honestly, the way JP do tabletop is pretty much ideal for vtubers: you walk in, introduce yourself, get a premade sheet (even if the game system is so simple you can make a character on the spot in 3 minutes), then play a story that is short enough to wrap up before the last train. A lot of smaller titles are built from the ground up for that, to the point where some don't have pages dedicated to playing higher level characters, or outright break apart if you play a long term campaign.

*the JP tabletop convention/gathering/meetup way of doing tabletop
I'm sure there's a few who can manage to have a big enough place to gather 3+ people to play something longer, considering how games like Shadowrun and Traveler got JP translations and seem to work out fine there.
