Basically exactly my thoughts. I always felt like her Calli songs, especially her early ones, were sorta forced and playing up the reaper persona waaaay too much, to the detriment of the music. "Korosu no koto ga tanoshii, murder is so fucking kawaii" is still one of the worst, most cringeworthy things I've ever heard in a song. And that was my first ever impression of Calli, so for a while I dismissed her completely just based on this. And that's a real shame, honestly. But when I discovered DD's music, I actually really liked it. It felt a lot more genuine and much, much more enjoyable, even to me as someone who's not much of a fan of rap in general. Cursed Night was a huge step in the right direction, and Off With Their Heads was pretty nice as well, but this new EP feels like the culmination of that, and imo represents Calli really getting comfortable in this new skin. Absolutely love it, and it is absolutely on par with DD's stuff.
