I followed Kizuna Ai way back when the four heavenly kings was a thing. Vtubing was an exciting new thing back then but as time went on she just became more and more soulless over time. I don't really miss her and I'm not really sure how many people who followed her from back then really felt all that sad that she was leaving. I kind of felt like she passed her prime a long time ago. She was a blueprint for a type of vtuber that just didn't really work.

I think the real problem is just the tribalism in general. You can't even talk about anything on this board without someone saying you're just falseflagging or loyal to x company and that's why you think that. Obviously, holofags feed into it, too. Like right now, I'm watching Selen. But if there's nothing on Nijimado, I'll pull up Tsunderia. If they have nothing, I'll check over at Prism. Or maybe I'll see Yuuka in my recs and click on her stream for a while. I have lots of options.

But for hololive tribalfags, if they have no streams going on, they're literally just sitting around in dead hours with nothing to watch. Or sometimes the stream they're watching is boring as fuck, and they don't even know about the super entertaining collab that they're missing.
