I have no stakes in whether she is or isn't "KFP". If she is, good for her, hope it leads to more cute interactions. If she isn't, well no harm done, it's not like you can't grow closer after debuting.

I mean, Kiara said very forcefully (in the beginning, she has mostly calmed down now) how much she liked Pekora, and we all know that did very little for her, only a handful of interactions came out of it (though that's not solely on Kiara being too overbearing, that's also partly because Pekkers is kind of an autismo in general) and it didn't help Kiara's reputation much either.

Until actionable evidence (as in, more than just debut niceties and tweet interactions) emerges, I try to err on the side of caution and presume Kobo was using the term "oshi" (if that's even the intention) in the more watered down western fandom way (see also "seiso", "yabai", etc.) where it pretty much just means broadly "girl I like". If it serves as a nice springboard that leads to more actual interactions in the future (Kiara could be more motivated to approach the girl if she's actually into it), and they actually make something out of it, great, and if not, at least you're not going to be disappointed if you never overhoped in the first place

What line, specifically? For Kiara herself and what she might realistically do? For the fandom and what they want / tolerate?

Personally, I try to be reasonable either way, I'm not a unicorn schizo that demands my oshi never acknowledges males, and I'm not a shipperfag schizo on the other end of the extreme that demands she must sick that theoretical guys' dick and get together with him or whatever.

I reckon IF that situation of yours ever came to pass (a HolostarsEN debuts that either directly praises Kiara as his oshi, and/or has some other qualities (for example european location, game choices, idol interests, whatever) that make her notice him, I trust her realistically enough to be able to handle it with reason.
Cover isn't dumb enough to "force" a full Niji-style mixing of the genders into HoloEN, and while they may not force a total segregation either, it's probably gonna be the same status-quo that HoloJP has with StarsJP, where there's no forced restriction either but also no total ban on interaction either, and it's mostly just down to the few individual boys and girls and their interest/willingness to do something together or don't (well, it's mostly on the girls, since the jp guys seem to know their place and don't push for anything and wait to be approached first), and for the few who do interact, it's working out mostly okay (and the ones who don't interact don't miss it anyway, so no harm done)

Personally I find her speaking openly about her day-to-day activities and encounters refreshing.
