The point is that "winning" the Indonesian audience shouldn't be about just getting streamers from Indonesian and slapping an "ID" tag on them, which should be evident enough from the fact that we always talk about those things as debuffs for an audience from a country with nearly 300 million people. It should be about finding and creating a product that specifically appeals to that market and what they're looking for.

Unless the viewing habits of EN have changed much since then, it won't be far off.
The amount that Youtube takes out is going to vary based on what the individual viewers are doing since the cut is attached to the viewer not the channel.
The reason EN has had more problems with people being cut is because EN viewers are doing something that Youtube flags them for.
Another point of evidence are the Niji EN guys, they get good live views but their total views sometimes aren't as high as other EN streams that Youtube showed had fewer live views.
Unless you want to make the case that there was a major demographic shift for the other ENs though, the percentage gone should still be fairly accurate.

Each one of the other SEA cointries has 1-2 1k average peak viewer chuubas and that's it.
They also don't have the company background of Maha5 or NijiID being a successful business there to encourage bigger companies to invest.

And Cover is right now in a bit too much of a precarious position to take a risk like that.

If you remove the language barrier, Indonesia is home to nearly 300 million people who (mostly) speaks the same language, has a fairly friendly relationship with Japan, and has a young up-and-coming middle class population who has a lot of money to spend on Japanese media. They're also home to some of the biggest e-commerce/tech companies in SEA like Tokopedia, Gojek, and Grab who wouldn't mind sponsoring Japanese media to appeal to their younger customers.
From Yagoo/Tazumi POV, you have a fairly young population who are friendly to Japanese culture with money to spend, so if you can grab even 0.01% of that pie, that's a pretty big revenue stream. This is similar to their early venture to Chinese market back in 2018-2019 but the political landscape with China makes it hard to navigate. Not to mention, the overhead costs for ID vtubers are probably low since you don't have to invest in stuffs like voice training/recording/dance lessons. I think each ID gen has one manager as opposed to some JP who has their own manager. Overall it's a cheap investment for a decent return if it works out.

I saw an earlier listing of the Hololive talents by followers on Twitter and notice a couple peculiarities that led me to do a comparison between each member's Twitter followers and Youtube subscribers. While it is a nebulous theory for now, I do wonder if this does show the amount of botting that some fanbases do to push their oshis to reach milestones every so often. In turn, it also shows which talents lack such botting efforts and neglected by the more general fanbase who may only use Youtube and not Twitter.

I found it particularly fascinating how much of a hit Gura's subscriber base takes although she still maintains the #1 spot in EN. If anything I feel this kind of validates my theory since it brings her more in line with her regular stream viewership when compared to her EN peers.

I initially did plan to keep EN altogether but there was a significant divergence in the percentages between Myth and Council (Something not seen in either JP or ID branches) that led me to separate them as if they were two entirely separate branches.

Also she’s the only Holo who goes through this where any form of activity causes her sub growth to spike. She was at 50k/month, and after being more active she got back up to 80k/month (10k subs every 4 days, 80k in 32 days.)
