Why is always Super Mario Kart 8 and never Sonic All Star Racing?
Both games are fun, but the later is less frustrating because it has less RNG factors, the netcode is also older and therefore better (so Ame couldn't use the "it was the ping!" excuse) and it gives more variety to the streams. It would also be more fun if there would have been two tournaments depending on which game the chuubas preferred to play.
HololiveEN already licensed from SEGA games like Yakuza 0 (Kiara) and Sonic Adventure 2 (Kronii) so that's clearly not a problem.

We cannot have 8 of 11 girls streaming the same Nintendo game for an entire week because Hololive panders so much to Nintendo (I'm talking about the last Pokemon here) almost all members of HoloEN streamed the last Pokemon game, in fact, I discovered Pomu during that week because I was so tired of the same.

It sucks HololiveEN forces the chuubas to play Nintendo straight for even a week- sucks both to the audience and the girl forced to play it everyday.

The problem for me is that only HololiveEN panders to Nintendo like a bitch, HololiveID plays random games so it's king in this aspect, as well as Nijisanji streaming based Konami games.

It's not just sonic, it's SEGA's cast. Game is named Sonic just because it's what sells best and they were competing against mario.
