No one wants to be considered a +1 or hanger-on to someone else. I think Kiara got that message later than she needed to, but she's done a pretty decent job at standing out and not in the same way that Mori does nowadays.

BaeRys is an outlier because both of them are extroverted enough to be able to play the whole "wife" thing as a joke vs. Takamori and Kromei where Mori was obviously annoyed from the forced shipping from the getgo and Kronii probably sees Mumei as a younger sister.
