Why is Japan so autistic about things like tracing and piracy?

Why not?

They're decent people that respect creatives and people who contribute to their culture.

Japan's craftmanship is what makes them standout in the world

That leads to intellectual property

Jews didn't ruin intellectual property in Japan yet

Posturing.
They all pirate just as much as any other country. But they have to act like they don't and act like others doing it are monsters. Because if you don't fall in line, you are an enemy to society.

Are japs known for that? I've only seen spics or south Americans go ape shit and remove all content because someone hurt their fee fees

>> No.19784707

they're a collectivist society, an ethno-nationalist country, and possibly the most insular nation and culture in history. everyone is pulling on the same rope for the good of Japan, and outsiders are ignored or gatekept out. the thing they hate the most is selfish behavior. stealing, doing drugs, skipping work, etc. that's what tracing and piracy is.
they also have an extreme reverence for Japanese companies and their importance. anything you do to hurt japanese companies or the Japanese economy is anti-social and selfish. You should always support japanese companies, spend money, buy japanese products, and not pirate things. These values are emphasized everywhere in japan.

>> No.19784708

That's universal.

They aren't, they just have to act like they are. Piracy and plagiarism are illegal so, even if you're running a stream on 100% pirated software and games, it's not like you can just tell your audience everything is pirated and everyone should do it, since that would get you hit with the actual repercussions of being caught pirating, so they just moralize against it to cover their ass legally and make people not suspect them.

I mean, wouldn't Mishima argue that those collectivist instincts are good, but they are being channeled into mindless western consumer culture?

Because when the entirety of your upcoming culture is on who can draw the same anime face or sound the most like a squeaky toy / retard, you tend to get salty over your "hard" work being copied

Think Apple's "Rounded edges" argument, but take away any semblance of a logical argument and turn every competent lawyer and businessman, and replace them with hikkimoris

It's kind of funny, Ui mama all but admitted recently that there is really nothing separating most illustrators in Japan, they all have the same skills and make the exact same shit for the same clients. What separates illustrators is how quickly they respond to clients and if they get the work done on time. Purely their productivity and not their creativity is what matters.
