>4: People able to converse and stream in english at a certain level (Non-fluency isn't a problem)

Are you guys looking forward to Prism picking up potential haachama-level ESLs?

>> No.1977519

My limit is Luto.

>> No.1977801

Some other differences between the english and japanese audition pages are:

The main tagline
English
>Become a Virtual Youtuber with us!
Japanese
>Don't you want to try becoming a Vtuber watched the world over?

And also the japanese equipment blurb mentions loaning you equipment if necessary(I guess that's not an option internationally)

Haachama is fluent on a native level, it's an act, do your reps

>> No.1980653

No she isn’t. She just pitches her voice up. She still fucks up a little even when it’s scripted.

>> No.1980751

>>1980615
she's a lot better than she plays on stream, but nowhere near native
i'd rather a haachama-level ESL (fluent, but clearly not native) than another kiara-level one (sounds native, but messes up the connotations/nuances/tone of what they say)

The hololive telephone game collab shows otherwise. She made more mistakes there than anyone but Miko, and Haachama was co-hosting the event, for goodness' sake.

Haachama is fluent, but when she talks normally she sounds like a cunting bogan.

I want an EN Pikamee that has an accent that sounds Murrican 99% of the time but has the English proficiency of a Japanese middle school student.

>> No.1980903

>>1980751
>kiara
>sounds native
not even close, her accent is more subtle than the usual German, but it's very much there.

>> No.1980916

In practice I don't think they'll pick someone who isn't fluent.

>haachama-level ESLs
Haato actually has pretty good english skills, she just plays up the engrish for the audience.

Imagine actually believing this because she did a lower voice once and sounded kinda-maybe normal.

Don't kid yourselves

we already have kiara and ina. I can barely understand their mouth breather accents.

Just because it "isn't a problem" doesn't mean they wont be miles behind compared to other applicants, they would have to demonstrate exceptional abilities to even be considered at the same level as other applicants if they can't speak English 100% clearly. Cover might be serial fuck ups, but they don't screw around with their scouting and hiring.

You two might want to reread the OP.

I watched their collab chat last night and they kept interweaving Japanese sentences into the conversation. I don't really understand why they're recruiting English speakers specifically if they're going to be speaking Japanese a third of the time anyways, but I hope it works out for them.

I actually enjoyed all the debuts so far. I hope the company actually goes far and starts growing.

The world vs Japan is a thing in every geek industry. Like manga vs comics, cartoons vs anime, western games vs Japanese games and so on. Actually every western stuff nowadays looks the same and yuros and spics actually only ape Amerimutts and their celebs or English based media.
