Can you explain what the appeal of vtubers is? I tried watching them but I just don't get it. The girls don't really talk about anything interesting and they are just constantly spamming fake laughs every 10 seconds which got on my nerves. Explain to me frens why would you watch vtuber?

Vtubers are streamers with anime avatars. The cute factor helps to mask an unremarkable personality a lot of the time. If you don't like regular streamers there's a pretty big chance you won't like vtubers or won't be a big fan of a specific one.
I prefer watching IRyS, Fauna, Pomu, Enna and a small indie that I won't name because this board is AIDS, but I'm generally more interested in the game they're playing.
Some however are so terminally boring that even a good game can't save them from being the personification of sleeping pills and I agree with your point in that aspect, see Ina, Mumei, Petra.
Also they all have boyfriends and aren't virgins but this board population pretends to believe otherwise, my advice is to ignore them or laugh at their usual antics.

Used to be the lack of drama and how little fucks were given to what these anime girls were doing.
However, after the industry (Hololive specifically) grew too big, other companies came in for copyright issues and there was more of a corporate oversight. Stack on the legit drama beginning to overshadow the videos, and the appeal is starting to dry up for me.

I'll still watch Miko tho, she's great.
