I was the friend who got introduced to vtubing, called it gay, that it was men behind the avatars, etc. But my friend kept sending me stuff and by sheer autism was able to convince me to watch some videos back when short videos and skits were the primary way of vtubing. I kept up the front that it was dumb to my friend, but secretly became interested. Eventually, I just decided to be honest and now we frequently discuss it.

Maybe being so autistically fervent and showing videos will get someone interested even if they say they don't like it?
