Honestly I've been playing the game and the horse unironically ruins the pacing and makes the game shit for anything apart from dungeons or boss battles.
It cause them to make a larger map in order to incentivize the horse usage which means fewer combat zones and a blander, emptier level design.
It's still a fun game when there's actually a game to play but the horse-intended areas are trash and bring the game down to a solid 6/10.
