i don't mind streams but now i feel like every vtuber has become a generic video game streamer which has become quite bland. there's really nothing different between a normal streamer and a vtuber now besides the avatar. Streamwatchers are addicted to streams. They experienced one or two memorable moments out of a stream, and now they sit through hours of boring footage just to catch another hit of dopamine when something entertaining happens. This is why streamwatchers hate clippers because clippers are essentially taking what streamwatchers think they've worked for and just handing it out without any effort.

It's frankly an unwinnable situation, streams suck because they are too long and inconsistent and they result in plenty of break days where nothing is happening and it's just a pain to keep up with. But once you're forced to put out short daily vids, well, as much as it makes it easier to keep up with the person, you reach a point where their content becomes stale because it's really just a job and they have run out of ideas and that's shit too. I think youtube would be better if it was more like television used to be where people would have timeslots and you could schedule which ones to watch at which times. My main problem is I get into someone, binge their content from back when they were good, get burned out trying to keep up with their inconsistent and lazy current content and then move on.

I never really dove deep into the creator of Eilene or anything. The character apparently moved channels after Mirai Akari took over, but I didn't really keep track after that. For me, yukkuri jikkyou and vtubers in general has just been some of the things that i like to watch in my free time, among speedpaints, animations, vocaloid MV's, parody videos, and science and history documentaries.
