Artist here, wow people still remember this? My-my it was so long ago.

I was kind of salty that I did not even make it 2nd round but looking back I deserve it. I terribly mismanaged my time and spent way too long on designing her and then nothing and then after I realized that I am out of time I to made a full picture instead of a simple character sheet as I should have. God what was I thinking?

So at the very start I was thinking about the head and the hair shape as silhouette is kind of important for the character to be recognizable. Learning from Kizuna AI's heart shaped hairband. I wanted to try something less common and generic as I expected a lot of lolis and wafus wearing revealing outfits. So I made it my challenge to make one with short hair yet try it to make it distinguishable. As I collected hair styles I also decided to give her glasses as I do not remember an V-tuber with glasses back then.

After I decided on the last one of the head selections I began to try clothing some more revealing some less revealing and more practical. I decided that I will go with the less revealing clothes and more formal from the old Anonymous character that had a business suit.

Also tried different shapes of of glasses and even a non-glasses version. I also wanted to keep in mind that with less moving parts it might easier to rig the 3D model.

Picked out three versions of clothing that appealed to me and made a second pass on the clothing with slight alternations. Usually it was the question how much skin they would show and much they felt to be in line with the character's intended looks. The rest always be used for alt outfits anyways.

I am oldfag here and I was imagining her to embody some of the positive aspects of 4chan. I would say that she would be assertive even somewhat arrogant and patronizing yet open and welcoming to newcomers as 4chan is pretty easily accessible and open for people to find their niche without needing any authentications. Knowledgeable about things but secretive about herself, with a healthy dose of sarcasm and probably with some slight OCD about "the rules". Someone you would like to reach for but can never get your mind around.

I realize these aren't really the traits of your standard bubbly Vtuber personality. I also did not want to go with the generic moe or the stereotypical fujoshi.

I suggested this in the original threads, when we were talking about who would voice her and what kind of content the vtuber should make. That a proper 4chan approach would be to just give everyone access to the assets so that anyone could make whatever they want with massive variation in quality and effort. You'd have people with proper vtuber channels and also people that just shitpost and yell racial slurs, and everywhere in between. She'd be whatever each individual wanted her to be instead of having a narrow identity. Decentralization is a large part of what makes 4chan, and also gives the freedom of there being no one to cancel, because anyone can assume that identity.

Just going off of this idea, but maybe it would be more appropriate to start out any "4chan vtubing" effort as a conversation or discussion in a round table, just as we envisioned a VR 4chan years ago. Everyone would use the same avatar, sure, but we could tell everyone apart by their voice and personality.
