Subbed TV animes still have audio and I haven't noticed any impressive game design insights from her. In fairness I've only watched a few full streams, but from what I've seen it's like watching a Let's Player only with less skill and a slower pace because she's mute and has to stop to type. The thing about corpse is that she actively punishes you for not staring at the damn screen and wait for her to slowly type something.
She could easily keep a chat log active and quote chat messages you will actually know what the fuck she's talking about if you just tabbed back in, but choses not to.

again, this is mostly format preference isn't it?
let me present another metaphor:
take a manga and an anime that's based off it. obviously anime takes similar content but adds the work of seiyuu's, music, soundeffects, and sakuga as whole new dimensions of auditory and visual appeals. but often the manga still wins out over the anime, since the anime may have to skim over important details, add in filler so that the manga can catch up, or the quality of adaption may be bad in itself; additionally, manga has the unique appeal of reader-controlled pacing when the anime has to use a set pacing to appease episodic or movie formats
when corpse stops playing to point out something about the game, it provides a nice outlet for viewers to discuss the game in spite of the gameplay pausing. voiced chuubas often can't do that because of the different set of expectations that apply to them: frequent pauses of gameplay can lose the attention of viewers even if it is to facilitate discussion, viewers often have to limit what little discussion they make to single or incomplete sentences. admittedly corpse's viewers don't exactly write paragraphs for every chat message, but her format is more lenient towards longer chat messages, and she even jokes about it a little by asking her viewers for poetry sometimes.

I don't think it's just a format preference, I think it's a bad format. Other mute vtubers either have full tracking, which allows for body language, and since most are on Twitch, you can scroll back up and see what they've said. You can't go back and pick up details or appreciate the craft like you can with a manga in a Corpse stream. Corpse is more like watching an anime without the sound on at all, with fansubs, only you can't rewind. With no chat log from Corpse, you're still forced into a real time experience without any of the benefits of a text based format (going back to read it again).

ironically, you can rewind a youtube stream while with a twitch stream, the chat log clears when you refresh the page and you often have to rely on the mid-stream vod. rewinding in the vod is similar enough to rewinding in a youtube stream, with the disadvantage that putting it on 2x only catches you back up to when you exited the stream to check the vod. really, "rewinding" on a twitch stream punishes you more than rewinding on twitch
this is more of a website thing though, and of course, corpse will hopefully be able to overcome the limitations that both sites imposed on her if violetdev ends up creating that mark. ii textbox

I only know of corpse via information I get from these threads, but body language is the only reason Zentreya got as big as they are, same with any VRChat-style mute. It would break kayfabe though so it's not really applicable to Corpse. Aside from rewinding the only other thing I can think of that'd help with seeing older messages from Corpse is having a setup where their messages are also entered into chat, or on Twitch having a Player Overlay made that lets people scroll through past messages. Neither are really desirable though. I know corpse is well loved and I don't think they're a bad entertainer but it's really undeniable that it's a bad format.
