RPGs are always debuff games for several reasons: You have to be there from the start to get the story, there is usually a lot of dead space between the fun stuff, have to actually pay attention to read the story if you care, a lot of people are to ADHD to enjoy RPGs to begin with. But she's enjoying it so that's what matters.

impression I get is Twitch has a much smaller footing in Japan and especially in the Japanese vtuber scene so I guess if you're stuck choosing one or the other it's a pretty easy choice. And considering archival does matter I'd say the pros outweigh the cons.

It's worth noting that YT throttles viewcounts to some degree so even if it seems like she has less viewers on there it might not be the case. For example she was hovering around ~40 viewers on YT during the omori stream but it had ~90 likes by the end and I really doubt that many people came and went over the course of it.

It's the same with idols. It's literally the same culture.

Bigger idols are easier to follow, support, they have their own merch, catchphrases, personalities.

Same goes for Vtubers. You have archives and clips of big ones, you have merch, memberships, lore, catchphrases, art.

Plus the big vtuber isn't really going to care if you don't watch her stream a few times.

Indies if you really want to support them require a lot more attention, engagement, you actually need to help them make art, spread the word.

It's very much like religion. This is why the big one still exist hey have the infrastructure while new age religions don't exist.

touhou's fast paced action is always good stream material
slay the spire is more slow paced, but you get to see the thought process behind the player's actions which is also entertaining
while omori isn't my kinda thing, watching someone else enjoy it is fun in and of itself

even if I agreed with you I'd still say she should play what she wants to play. someone streaming things they enjoy will always have more staying power than someone just following trends. not to say you shouldn't play popular games if you want to, but if there's 1000 people playing apex or fortnite or minecraft or whatever, you aren't gonna get far if the only thing you have going for you is being the 1001st.

Never played Ruina but Lobotomy Corp was pretty boring to me. Maybe I just don't appreciate the mystique of SCP-type creepypastas, or maybe I just don't "get" it, but the gameplay was extremely repetitive after like the first 15 minutes without being very engaging.
Not saying it's a bad game or anything, I just went in with unrealistic expectations I guess.
