Took me quite some time to understand that this was edited since Ina didn't debut at the time. On one hand that makes sense, on the other hand, it seems a bit weird, there are tons of areas where you could spend your life to improve and brushes are just one of them. I never accused Ina of samefacing nor said she doesn't have her own style. I'm saying that her job is drawing anime girls. There's nothing wrong with that and I love her art, but most of her art is semi-commercial/commercial art, not a deep expression of her psyche.

Don't talk about programming when you've never programmed. 99% of the programming in the world is made for clients. As soon as clients are involved, there is no one optimal solution. And even outside of that, there are lots of tradeoffs to consider

All of that to say, Ina's art and regular programming aren't that far. We both could spend all of our life exploring a little detail like doing our own brushes or making our own text editor, but we have a job and deadlines, so we must be satisfied with shipping relatively good products in time.

You're right, but in that case you can download one of the trillions of free brushes you can find even from other professional artists. If Ina had infinite time we would get more exploratory pieces like the painting she made on the member tab. She's always swamped with projects, I don't think she has lots of time for personal expression, and I don't think her clients would accept something completely different even if she liked it more. This is the case too in 99% of software developments problems. Even fundamental algorithms get optimized all the time. Again, stop talking about things you don't know anything about. Most of the time (at least from what we see) the art she makes has pretty clear constraints in terms of characters, theme, composition, time, style. And again, that's ignoring that funny thing called "clients". You could also spend ages just polishing an API design and never come up with the universal best solution. Just put a smalltalk guy and a haskell guy in the same room and you'll see that they have a hard time agreeing on things that may seem objective to your untrained eye
