You'd be surprised how many people think voice changers are magic nowadays. They'll watch that scam baiter on youtube that uses a voice changer on their victims without realizing they make the line noisy and low quality so that it's not super obvious. They'll use AI noise suppression and think audio processing technology is scifi levels now, not knowing that noise suppression is infinitely simpler to achieve than a voice changer.
Don't underestimate the power of suggestion, either. You prime someone to think something, like goki being her bf, and they'll eventually believe it because their brain will start to emphasize "proof" of it like her calling him cool, or jokingly saying babe as a reference, and subconsciously ignore evidence against it like how she does the exact same thing with all her other friends and even chat.
People are extremely overconfident in their ability to process sensory information accurately, despite it being scientifically proven that we're really bad at it. Someone that goes in listening to her laugh expecting to hear male laughter, will hear evidence for it, even if there's objectively none, because they've been primed to do so. There's a lot of scientific studies on psychology that support that.
As someone that almost got filtered by not understanding her voice at first, I can't imagine where I'd be now without her, and I wouldn't wish missing out on her on anyone.

I think I count as a new big bro, found Lily about 2 months ago now and I’ve been watching every stream since then, I really love Lily a lot, and I plan to continue watching her streams and supporting her for as long as she decides to continue... but about a month ago, in one of the /ccu/ threads, someone posted that long image with all the “proof”, and honestly I kinda believed it, and still do, but honestly it made no difference to me, first because Lily to me is just a character, ofc there’s a human behind the character, but their sexuality is irrelevant to me, I know there’s no way I’ll ever meet Lily, the character, or even get to chat with the real person behind her, I’m just another viewer, and I’m ok with that. I play out all those fantasies and get caught up in the moment with them, but I always remind myself that it's not real and I'm just a viewer at the end. I mean, we may not know for sure if the person behind Lily was born as a boy or a girl, but we do know they are a great person now, I’ve known Lily for 2 months, but I can already tell how great of a person she is, she’s funny, extremely adorable, she’s passionate about what she likes, making music etc, loves her friends and also loves helping others, she’s really smart and always has the perfect words of advice if she notices one of her big bros is dealing with something, honestly that’s why I don’t care if she’s trans or not, coz to me what matters way more is that she’s an awesome human being, and even tho Lily is just a character, that she’s just making that adorable kiddy voice, and acting like a little girl etc, I love her even more because I know no one else can do it as well as she does, she’s really special in a lot of ways to me and that’s why I love her so much, not just Lily as a 2d character, but also the girl behind her. I completely agree with everything you've said, except only partly with it being a good thing if it stops people falling in the parasocial trap. It's a good thing if it avoids someone that would have otherwise got hurt, and I've actually seen that happen as recently as 2 stream ago. But my own experience has been different—I fell deep into the parasocial trap with Lily almost a year ago, it helped me through my darkest times and allowed me to reach a better mental state where I reigned it in, and now it's just a happy fantasy I enjoy like a daydream instead of a coping mechanism. I guess what I'm saying is that it's not always the worst thing, and in certain circumstances it can be a positive thing if used correctly, which was what I was referring to.
You're right that we'll probably never know if she's trans or not, but as far as I'm concerned based on my digging, the "proof" is BS, and we have no way to know one way or the other, so if I had to pick which one I believe, it'd be that she isn't, based on statistics. My archive isn't the one on youtube, it's its own website. It does have older content than the one on youtube, and I believe more complete content since the owner of the youtube one has mentioned having to pick and choose which videos to upload due to DMCA. I've given the youtube archivist my blessing to upload any of my videos to their archive, including the older ones I have, but I don't think they have, my guess being because they can't reorder them by date on youtube so that would mess up the order.
Looking at their channel currently they have 120 VODs + 15 Highlight, mine has 192 VODs + 17 Highlights + 1601 Clips.
