Because she's dealt with schizos messing with her for a very very very long time now and knows the only response to them is no response. Despite some similarities in being girls who tried to make it in Japan following a dream, Mori as far as I know hasn't gotten 1/100th the level of the shit that Kiara's gotten tossed her way over the years.

The Kiara hate is generally more baseless and stuff dragged in from her past that is actually-fucking-irrelevant to anything she's done as a Holo - while basically all of the Mori hate stems from things she's been doing as a Holo. You might say then that maybe it's tougher to will away shitposting when it's actually critique of what you're doing right now in a sense, but Mori had many times addressed a lot of rrats and misgivings about her and straightened them out - except this TT thing where she actually went and took what had been a thorn in her side and jammed it in herself further by pro-actively going and stirring shit up. She does though, just not the implode and need a month off way.

Her biggest issue is messed up sleep schedule and forcing herself to finish games in a short period. These usually add stress and make her moody. But she'll usually bounce back by the next stream, even if it is later that day. Overall though she is getting better about knowing when to stop.

desu, her "numberfagging" was always blown out of proportion, because once she got that reputation, everyone hyperfocused only on her to wait until she mentions numbers to run to the threads and happily spam the three meme arrows, while other talents could mention numbers and no one cared because there wasn't a meme for them, so it's kinda a biased perception thing.

People also made fun of her for holding subcount milestone celebration streams, but I found these "complaints" always hypocritical, as either the people are newfags and don't know it's basically a JP tradition and Holos used to do them all the time, or they do know this and just play dumb to have something to anti her over.
Then there's also the negative feeback loop that clipniggers create. She can have a hundred hours of fun streams every month, but if she has only a five minute moment of weakness in that, that's what gets only clipped (brackets serious brackets) and that's all bystanders see and then they'll go "ugh, why is she such a bitch ~all the time~?".

And even if she actually was in the past a little bit more conscious of her position as the lowest-rung EN, she has noticeably mellowed out after passing the big 1M (after which fretting over numbers becomes kinda pointless) and after getting kohais she has to take care of.
Really, the only thing she actually cares about numbers-wise these days is how her songs do, and that's understandable as she spends her own money producing them and would like to see a return on investment, also it keeps her original idol dream alive and it's always nice to see your creations be appreciated. And she's also self-aware enough that she knows her song-plugging is a meme and leans into it herself with the "stream X" jokes.

Or even if she did, she at least has enough business experience not to do it drunk on her official account.

Mori on the other hand looks to her rap circles or the eceleb circles she aspires to. Those are her target audience, those are the ones she appeals to and wants to be accepted by. And their values are more about appearances of "keeping it real" and "that fake ass idol shit is like totally cringe my dawg", of course it chafes with traditional Hololive culture and she looks down on it.

Both are subsets of narcissism, but in moderation they're necessary and needed qualities to be successful in the entertainment business (ie. you have to at least somewhat care what people think about you, and how you're doing on quantifiable metrics, and strive to improve both).
Of course, if you overdo it, it can have the opposite effect and hurt you, for example "numberfagging" in the negative meaning of the word can just come off as desperate (Kiara had her weaker moments with that in the past, but noticeably mellowed out since), and when egosearching you let negative comments get to your head (or, as we see with the brapper rn, embarass yourself publicly in a pathetic attempt to "own the haters" when you're only owning yourself and antagonize everyone further. Kiara at least never fell so low, at least in her current Hololive official persona).

Also, egosearching and keeping up with her fans' twitter is generally just a nice way to interact and connect with her fanbase even off stream, and her fans really appreciate that and it makes them feel good to see that she actually really cares about them and also spends her free time with them somewhat
