7 is easier & more polished, but has more mechanics to keep track of.

It's also worth trying other danmaku games, Dodonpachi (MAME) & Crimzon Clover: World Ignition are both great games which tend towards a faster pace of play.

First off, barely anyone uses bits on Twitch (it was even an original feature for years), second tired of fucking retards bringing up bits and having no idea how they work. YOU PAY THE FUCKING CUT ON BITS UP FRONT. 500 bits is $5 and you pay like $6 for them, streamer gets full $5 (the fee scales down with higher value, bits is literally only for 3rd worlders that dont have paypal but have amazon pay, rarely used). Yes, Affiliates get the 50% sub cut and 24hr vod reupload, but those are the only restrictions they have (Miko is affiliate btw).

So yes, streamlabs is the best and is what 99% of Twitch streamers use, bits are rare as fuck outside of certain region streamers anyway (usually latin and south america). As a side note partners not only get a better sub cut, they also get to get a contract with ad revenue and can take bounties too.

It's understandable that people have a biais against Twitch because a lot of the audience discovered streaming via Hololive, and hololive streams on youtube.

But if you try to look at it objectively, for independants vtubers, Twitch offers a lot more in almost all aspects.
- Better discoverability : the recommendations are very accurate, and it's easier to find a streamer trough categories/searching
- Far better networking/community building : the raids, hosting, sub gifting, using emotes in other people chat, all of this actually work very well on twitch at the moment for indies
- Chat is superior, with many built-in tools and easier moderation
- Easier monetization for indies
- Indies often have about 50 to 90% of their audience subscribing to membership, while it's not as common on Youtube

Youtube does offer some benefits:
- Scheduled streams
- Obviously better VOD archiving, tho you can easily and automatically transfer your Twitch VODs to youtube

Overall you're much less isolated as an indie on Twitch, tho the japanese community is pretty small, but the bear is bilingual

I actually really like this system (compared to superchats at least). It's more transparent about Twitch's cut, you can know exactly how much money makes it to the streamer, it makes it easy to budget your contributions over time, and it also saves your credit card or bank statement from getting spammed with transactions. With regards to Streamlabs, remember that PayPal also does take a cut of transactions although I don't think it's as big as YouTube or Twitch.
