I don't have the context of how it used to be since I started playing after Gura, but the only thing about the game I don't like is how it starts spreading crimson after you get into hardmode. It makes it feel like a race against the clock to stop it from taking over and I prefer to play leisurely.

Starbound was oddly more fun before their big update. They kept changing stuff constantly and watered down the combat. Upgrading your space ship was a nice upgrade though.

Ironskin potions (+8 defense for 10 mins) made things a lot easier for me. Especially if you max your health and craft a heart lantern to stack with the healing buff you get from campfires. With those and molten armor the wall of flesh couldn't even damage me.
