Unironically just read Republic and The Apology, take notes, read a critique of Plato, and keep going. The historical subtext is not as important as schizos make it out to be.
The Republic isn't even a very good work of philosophy after book 1 until the last few books. It feels like Plato shoehorning his political views into Socrates' philosophical speeches. Ultimately, it did convince me on the nature of virtue but it's a stupid fucking book.

Doxxposting was even worse because skeptics would be picking fights with printers. That died off after Halloween. Printers in general lost steam after the sugar rush.
