It's not you nor an alt personality nor acting, its essentially allowing yourself to be possesed by a different soul who's lived a different life with a different past and has different ideas and different opinions, you are taken over by the vtuber who exists as a seperate being but just uses your body as a way to manifest themselves. I'd say go for it, if you're voice is that nice then you should have no problems with at least trying. Even I got a small bit of success as I started my stream just to practice my voice and got a lot of support although I'm from the VRChat world. My advice would be to not fall for the trap of showing your male voice otherwise it will become a thing people ask for, just be who you are rather than a party trick.
