No, using MMD models or models that look like their live2Ds is prohibited, its why they use chibis in the first place.
Home3D is an official cover model that is usually slightly edited from the studio one because holos don't have the full setup to use the studio model properly.
Ame and Myth are an exception because they have full tracking and she (implied) she got a mocap full body suit, so technically Ame could use the studio model at home when they have access to it.
The JP holos use a limited version of the 3D model at home, they can't run around with it, only move head and hands (3DOF instead of 6DOF)

To give you an example, only Roboco recently got a VR setup (oculus) to play VRchat with Ame, she played the desktop version before that.
Miko, Roboco, Sora, etc don't have a Live2D, they're 3D only since debut but they don't need a VR / 6DOF tracking setup for it, only a phone that tracks their head and hands, kinda like Live2D but with the benefit of being 3D and being a bit more articulated.
The other holos also have access to a simple home3D but it looks kinda bad compared to what they use at the studio and even their live2D, so heres hoping they let Ame have access to the whole thing.
