He was complimented but his popularity didn't really rise or detract from Mori's numbers or mental stability, if anything she got egoboosted for doing something nice for him.

If you mean you don't know how to act on stream at all, how most indies conceive it is by saying that "I'm going to be like [popular vtuber] but actually entertaining!". Then they never actually define what "entertaining" or good is and stammer onscreen like everyone else because it's easy to say and not easy to do.

You don't even need to be a vtuber. Learn the basics of streaming and how to be entertaining using the skills you have. Know how to sing/play an instrument? Do music streams. Are you generally funny? Find a situation where you can flex those skills, be it a game or even just chatting streams where you can interact with your viewers (since you'll be a 2view it'll be much easier to do it too). Are you really good in a game? Show that on stream, but be careful to not be super absorbed by the game. You can be entertaining doing that but it's really easy to fuck it up, so at least try to interact with your audience, maybe talk about how to improve in the game or just random shit you find interesting. And you don't even need to stream a lot, just build your portfolio by doing content where you can show your skills.
