So is it a job requirement for these people to be mentally unstable?

Imagine being a neurotypical and trying your hand at being an entertaining vtuber

>> No.15395846

That's a requirement for being a streamer in general.
Being a vtuber just adds an additional instability requirement.

Is having an ultra fucked sleep schedule also a requirement? I don't watch a ton of different chuubas (I only watch 4 and can't do any more on top of everything else in life) and of all of them the only one who seems to sleep a reasonable amount is still nocturnal

Normies don't stream. They have a life in meatspace.

You don't really get to be an entertainer and also be "normal".

These are all true, but the further requirements are that they must be poor and/or in debt and unemployable, thus desperate enough for money that they'll sign any black-company contract even if it's exploitative and only gives them the leftover crumbs after Cover and YouTube take the majority of the donation money

You have to be insane to think you can go from a shut-in neet to entertaining hundreds live

>> No.15398014

idk, you start from a basis of auditioning for a position that you know already attracts some really strange people, then dump them into a situation where they are swiftly evaluated by hundreds of thousands of viewers, where nearly every day you aren't sure what action you might make that will cause a ripple effect in some undesired way. Meanwhile those of greater curiosity less mental stability may be trying to intrude on your privacy in any way they can. Seems like a lot of these entertainers deal with it decently well to be honest.

Why would a mentally stable person become a vtuber?

Also, would you enjoy watch a mentally stable person say innocuous, uncontroversial things for 5 hours straight?

I don't feel too bad for them since most of them are still making out with a shitload of $. I can't imagine any of the Hololive girls are struggling financially. Even "literally who" Aki Rosenthal is probably pulling $50k usd/year before taxes

Why did you post an image of one of the most mentally stable chuubas. Don't tell me you think suicopath is anything but a meme

if they were mentally stable weirdos, they'd just be regular streamers, and if they were normal, they wouldn't be streaming at all.
