I do like her. Thing is, I like Matsuri, not her roommate, even if they are very similar. I met Matsuri through being Matsuri, I grew to like her as Matsuri, I found out about her and her buddies in a collective known as Hololive. I liked the novelty of a new medium (vtubers) and seeing them grow to greatness. See the pattern here?

I will not get the same viewing experience of Matsuri by watching her rm even if the voice is similar. I can respect her rm for being in charge of Matsuri, which is who I like. But I do not like the content her rm puts out, nor can I respect the drama her rm has created that directly degraded the reputation of Matsuri because her rm is too public and active for people to see the connection easily and thus keeping up with the things that aren't part of their holo personas.

It's not Matsurisu, Haatons, or any other fanbase. The so called hand yab was barely anything. For two weeks afterwards, drama tourists came in and tried to claim we should be mad basically and then it died off. Even the dislikes weren't much. Whether or not she lied or what not doesn't matter to most here. She was in a panic state at the time.
A schizo later created the "Saving Matsuri" thread (later the Saving Matsuri and Haachama thread), and it became flavor of the month for a while and all sorts of rrats were made and dug up. Even that mostly died off as well though. Hell, most of the people there even admitted it was just in fun and didn't bother us. Sadly some gullible people actually believed it, but no helping that.
Then sometime after the /qa/ stuff, another surge of it came. Not sure if the two are related though, it just gives a time frame. Both hlg and hlgg saw return of it though at the same time. It's mostly just generic stuff at this point though. If you know all the Mori stuff, it's quite similiar. Oh Matsuri is fat, she is going to graduate, etc etc. It's honestly been weak, which makes me think it isn't anything to do with antis, schizos, or unicorns anymore.
As for the Fanbox, it's basically nothing. They simultaneously claim she is doing nothing worth the money and she will be doing javs any day now. For most of us, it's just another way to support her for a small bonus.
Probably should of organized this first, but oh well. Basically they view Matsuri as an easy target and just like drama. A small fanbase like ours can't do much against it. Obviously this is all just from my own viewpoint though.

I dreamt about Matsuri last night, and I need to tell you guys about it because it was a wild, hyper-realistic/emotional dream that has been on my mind all day.

We were by the beach, at night. It was one of those incredibly bright, moonlit nights where you can see everything - the ocean water was an iridescent turquoise like pic related. And it was crystal clear so that you could see perfectly underwater.
We were both swimming together just off shore. Matsuri was wearing her yellow swimsuit, I remember it clearly because it was the only other color standing out in the moonlight. And we were... cuddling? But a kind of cuddling that is hard to describe because it was pure love. She would grab on to me so tightly that I couldn't move and we'd sink to the bottom and it was just pure bliss - being underwater, overwhelmed by this pure love. I would get very close to drowning but I was perfectly okay with it that it wasn't even the tiniest concern of mine. But she would let go before I drowned and I'd come up to breathe before diving back down into her arms again.

Anki bore me. I’ve finished all 10 decks of 2k pack and now I’m still halfway through the 10k deck and left it there. What I need now is a real conversation rather than endless vocabulary study. Watching/ listening to Matsuri or reading her tweets helps much more than Anki for me. It would be much more practical anyway since you learn a lot of slang and dialect which will make your Japanese more natural to the ordinary people if you ever have to actually use it.
