Not bad but I enjoy her streams less without the 3D model. She used it yesterday and just reminded me how entertaining it was before. Her TTS is clearly a big hurdle for her and she's expressed not being interested in using a real voice. Zen + Froot is a great combo.

The appeal is actually simple: she is the tsukkomi to chat's boke and is really good at using the 3D avatar to express herself in both subtle and exaggerated ways. In collabs she's often a troll and pranks other players. The girls all love her and she's popular with other streamers, so she collabs often with just about anybody. She's also big into charities and will do a charity stream for something at least once a season. As long as you accept she might be a guy IRL and are fine with immersion into Zen the character then you're fine. The TTS is a big hurdle for some people to get over, but I have found that the more I watch the more it grows on me, especially the TTS mistakes. When trying to talk about how and when to use "math" the TTS instead says "meth" is funny as hell, and just gives her chat more ammo to troll with.

She used to have a Russian accent that a lot of people liked. Nobody is really sure why she's doing the posh Bri'ish one now, but some speculate it is partially because she declared Froot her waifu since she changed it right around the time Froot debuted.

Also Zen loves snom, and anybody who loves snom can't be all bad.

the old audience comes from VRchat alongside people like Xigneon, Oathmeal, and Ashunera. While Ashunera and xigneon embraced themselves being male while using female avatars, those like oathmeal decided to keep being "mute". And people like Zen use text to speech to cover up their voice.

She still used it during the D&D sessions for her character talking, but she doesn't appear to even want to use it with Commander Zen so I think she's abandoned it. I don't know why, maybe she just really wanted to distance herself from her past a bit more.

Zen never fishes for anything tho. People give donos to streamers, guy or girl, all the time. Zen also does not identify herself as a female, so it isn't a lie. The only time Zen asks for money is during charity streams, but that is for charity, not for herself.
