It's the same for everyone. Hell, Mori's Earthbound series did not reach 100k views per stream and that's a JRPG people actually heard about.
They probably all know very well that the big popularity spike for Hololive is over. Now they are "just" a big name, not a new sensation.
As long as her special stream get some reception I don't think Kiara minds too much, she is mostly interested in talking to her actual fans during normal streams anyways and less concerned about attracting new potential viewers.

But for Kiara, I think you're underestimating how much she cares about numbers. I know, she has come a long way compared to when she first started but on numerous occasions, recently too, she talked about how people were leaving her and the new girls were going to take her viewers away. Merryweather does pretty good in terms of those video comics, but I must admit the Mori videos themselves are pretty... weak in the writing direction. The pacing was too slow to be comedic and the plot was too cringe (intentionally, mind you) to be heartfelt. As it was, the comic didn't really get any girl's personality (aside from mori's, maaaybe?) at more than the most surface level. I still respect the attempt though, Mori did pull out all the stops.
While Kiara's short shitpost certainly took a lot less effort, it hit what it was aiming at, as a goofy little video that felt like it it was in touch with the audience. Though, when you get Kanauru that's what you're guaranteed.
