Honestly, I am still confused how I missed this vtuber phenomenon and now have gotten trapped in it. The only vtuber I knew years ago was Kizuna Ai and I thought she was an actual AI, I still think that on some level though maybe I'm an idiot. I know there was a whole controversy over her being replaced so she must have been real. But now my problem with vtubers is the anime body makes me able to forget they are human and bond with them on some level when at face value the person behind the model is absolutely everything I hate about people. It's troublesome. Though it might just be all the shitty ones get the most attention and I need to dig deeper for the ones that are more tolerable as people.
