Untreated Herniated discs can end up getting yourself crippled on the long run, and the medical procedures to properly heal them often takes years before you can go back into being a normal person.

My mom had this issue a few years before I was born product of an accident she had on her early 20s, it wasn't until her mid 30s (early 1990s) when she was able to afford the surgery and other stuff in order to treat it, after the surgery she was essentially paraplegic for around 3 months until she was able to properly use her legs to walk again.

Don't know for sure how badly it is for Pochi, but I hope is not as serious and hopefully not as long to cure it, best wishes.

Really seems like a very rough one there anon, glad your mother made it through somehow.

Years ago, My father who is a long time employee at a motorcycle manufacturing company has this issue and somehow also caught scoliosis, got confined in a hospital, and got surgery too,
and barely almost got ataxia'ed. Shit was painful in his recovery but he made it also, still alive and kicking!
