Gura is a gateway vtuber of the worst kind. she's a bad vtuber, a clusterfuck of trying to be cute and funny that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for her weaknesses by adding in excessive "acting dumb" faggotry and flanderization. The normal anon can see this as the shit she is, and may enjoy her, hate her or be indifferent to her, but all the while recognizing that Gura herself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad. However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of her core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The overrated shark loli model trying the hardest to look cute, the tail, peculiar teeth, colorful clothes, the whole "le meme shark" faggotry and everything about Gura fuels their little sister/Gf fantasies, while her vtuber character theme emphasis on being a cute, her overall meme status make it fit just right with the drives of your average preteen and his sense of pride being a unironic weeb. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards watch her boring streams right the fuck up. Gura is basically THE vtuber who attracts the most hated vtuber fanbase known to /vt/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll and falseflag the fuck out of her and everyone who likes her, and ensure that no Gura threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces on /vt/.

The fact that so many anons still name Gawr Gura as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" Vtuber only tells you how far Youtubing still is from becoming a serious art. Vtuber critics have long recognized that the greatest chuubas of all times are Kizuna Ai and Ami Yamato, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Western critics rank the highly controversial Annoying Orange over vtubers who were highly popular around Japan. Vtuber critics are still blinded by commercial success. Gawr Gura made more money than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore she must have been the greatest. Vtuber critics grow up watching a lot of chuubas of the present, Western critics grow up digesting the chuubas of the past. Vtuber critics are often totally ignorant of the vtubers of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that Gura did anything worthy of being saved.
