Except this new update basically killed mining because all exposed ore veins will be smaller than embedded ones, and stripmining sucks, and lighting the way is cancer unless you manually jack the gamma up, plus to be able to use the new blocks and world gen they'd have to travel very far in their worlds due to loading too many chunks in the previous update, etc. etc.
