I think it's ideal for them. Passing as a woman is very very very difficult and a lot of them just don't have the bone structure, money, or will to go through with it. Playacting as one behind an avatar is a hell of a lot more viable, especially if you can do kind of the standard neutral voice (think Artemis) or use a voice changer, or even go the Zentreya route with TTS or some other gimmick.

I mean, that unironically kind of is a way to treat delusional people. Just telling them "none of this is real, you're crazy, stop being crazy" doesn't work (because if it did they wouldn't have the delusions in the first place).
