i don't know your situation, and i know that what worked for me won't work for everyone, but i was in a similar place years ago. i worked my entire childhood away trying to master one skill, then i got into the real world and realized people who were learning it for the first time were often better than me at it. it destroyed me, and i realized that i had nothing else, i was completely worthless outside of that one thing, and all the stuff i missed, the relationships i dodged, the friends i didn't make were for nothing. i was starting life years behind everyone else and i had little to show for it.
