Her model is fine, if it was a debuff Flare wouldn't be a success.

The problem is she had a bad debut - I thought all of the Council debuts were kind of cringey but hers was by far the worst, so she was hobbled out the gate. She didn't have a really good gaming stream for awhile, as opposed to Kronii who had Superhot almost immediately.

Still, I think she could have recovered because she had a fanbase which bombarded her with superchats. I think she was like the second most superchatted council member when they all got SCs unlocked. She clearly had a core which should have built on to stage a recovery.

But what really killed her was taking a month vacation right after debut. She needed to be busting her ass to get those sub numbers up and she hasn't been. She's probably not going to recover now unless she gets lucky and has a "breakout" moment.

In general, Council has been a disappointment. They have some good talent there, but they seem directionless, unmotivated, and uncommitted and their growth has mostly stalled. Only Baelz seems to be really trying.

That's because HoloEN has no presence outside of the streams themselves. Cover Japan does all kinds of cross media promotions for the JP talents and the parent channel on Youtube has things like Hologra and weekly A-chan and prerecorded collabs. HoloEN is totally abandoned by management and that's why they won't grow and develop the kind of brand power that lands HoloJP sponsorships and ticket events. Imagine how demoralising it must be for anyone in HoloEN who thought they'd get to be part of the "real" Hololive.

Honestly a few changes to the design would do a lot of good. Look for when/if she gets a variant. Her hair is a disaster and her facial rigging makes her movements look weirder than average. Irys had a weird rigging but no competition in that moment, Council has competitors that are more entertaining overall, have better designs, and better chemistry with each other. Unfortunately after a certain point you hit a self fulfilling prophesy where her lower numbers lead to low expectations and less people giving her a shot.
