as a final fantasy xiv fan i don't know if i would like everyone in holoen to be playing it for streams. and by "i don't know" i actually mean i know i wouldn't want that.

ultimately the biggest problem with XIV as a hololive game is that there is a really large gap in expected skill between actual entertaining content and the mandatory story stuff because they (rightly, unfortunately) assume that most of the playerbase is shit at the game with no interest in bettering themselves. the game also kind of does a bad job of actual encouraging players to grow better organically (by not doing anything to direct players to what they're really supposed to do with their jobs at all). couple all of that with the average "gaming skill level" of holoEN and you've at best got the girls playing story instances and maybe the normie mode raids but never any of the savage raids, much less even extreme unless they get viewers to come in and carry them through it.

There were crazy numbers for the first XIV streams. I say first because I don't there was any follow-up ones. RPGs, usually the solo-kind, have a dip with subsequent playthroughs and only rise up when toward the end. I would think it would be the same for an MMORPG.
