What were your expectations for Council vs. how they actually turned out?

I was expecting Mumei to be best girl. She had a rough start so I was worried for her at first, but to my pleasant surprise she actually is.

Kronii hasn't improved since her debut. I remember the comments people were making on here during her debut and the streams shortly after. Many of them were on the lines of "Too much dead air" and "Not enough audience interaction". When playing games she still goes quiet and cannot seem to grasp how to switch seamlessly between talking to her chat and playing the game. The rest of council have improved a lot in this regard. Especially someone like Mumei who acted like a rabbit caught in headlights for her first few streams.

I had no expectations but I still don't know if they deliver or not. Kronii is easily the worst entertainer of the gen, and she has a weird relationship with her chat that's constantly consuming her streams and it's so uncomfortable that I couldn't keep watching her. I think Fauna and Sana have the most potential long term, Baelz is too spergy and forced and I haven't watched Mumei at all so I have no opinion on her.

What made Kronii popular is her voice, artist, big tits, and self-deprecating personality. She also pandered ultra hard at her debut with memes and voice lines which helped her get the most clips out of council.

The most hype I had pre-debut was Mumei. She came off as a traveling nomad type that has acquired so much knowledge that she has lost her identity. Combined with her name literally being Anon gave an impression that she'd be Gura tier in terms of subtly dispensing memes and references while also having an amazing pool of games to play. Then when she came out retarded the whiplash hit me hard. Only been starting to warm up to her recently since she has been toning down the retard act.

The rest of the girls are more or less what I expected excluding the rat. I thought she'd be another Ollie but her being the calmest in Council was a nice surprise. Bae feels more like a HoloJP member than an EN one, but in a weirdly refreshing way. Don't really know how to describe it with words.

I'll be the unpopular opinion in the thread and say it was a disappointment. The production view from debut including omega tranny brought up quite the expectation only for them just to be some caked up 2views from Australia with some lore thrown on top for some flavor. The most popular of the bunch has been carried by looks, voice, artist, and pandering up until now and (once again) breeds the worst of hololive fanbases. Unfortunately the rest are simply just mediocre and within weeks I stopped watching all of them. Unfortunate, but I'm no consumer and this is a mere opinion.

She's popular because her voice is not squeaky anime screeching; has the edgy Wada style (massive initial boost in subs); and knew all the memes to repeat. Also, the public simply doesn't know good streamers exist outside the bubble, and won't look. The rate of new subs is proportional to current subs unless the streamer goes on a long hiatus. I had none and because of that i am not upset i am only very confused why 2 of them. Seem to want to squander everything EN gen 1 did to give them a better more easy start then they had. sana bless her heart streams at really bad hours and plays a lot of good games and because of that her live viewership sucks ass cheeks. Mumei wanted to be in hololive but also wants a college degree and cant. Seem to wrap her head around the simple premise that doing both is actively sabotaging her potential because college makes it so she can not stream often. Before she went off to college so while she can not stream as often as before ( shocker its still more than mumei ) she did not lose out. I like them all. Mumei is my favorite by a long shot. Kronii has been a little bit disappointing but that's mostly due to some of her more recent game choices, I liked it more when she was doing Frostpunk and Hollow Knight. I'm not one to write people off for stuff like that though.
