Her original plan of a 5 session introduction campaign wasn't bad, the problem is that the chargen happened literally in May and while the tutorial streams were tightly scheduled the actual campaign has been a disaster in that regard.
They've gotten 5 sessions done with the first being at the end of July. Also Mori obviously having little to no frame of reference of what is feasible in a session leading to having basically no "story progress" over the entire originally planned runtime.
And the Carnival fell basically entirely flat, especially the last session

I'm a total dummy when it comes to the TTRPG stuff so I know some settings and characters/enemies (like the Hook) are laid out in the source books, but all the other cast and scenarios are written by Mori? Because even if the carnival has some slumps, stuff like the vampire ball was fucking great.

Maybe she just needs to figure out how to run a mini campaign? Seems like she’s used to gm’ing either massive campaigns or very short oneshots. I’m also still unsure of why she decided to take them into the hedge. I’m doubly surprised she decided to do a filler episode. Probably should have been something optional that a few of them could jump into if they had time, or maybe a chance to introduce a potential season 2 character.

Not really, or to be more precise from my experience newbie campaigns should be less lethal and more handholdy, making the entire campaign very straightforward missions that basically have nothing to do with the enviroment they exist in is rather antithetical to how I've seen WoD or CofD ran.
Like none of the missions so far had anything to do with the characters themselves or their backstory and I don't understand why especially with their being pretty damn easy ways to connect them.
Even just giving them something basic like "figure out what Yuul's Professor is up to" and then letting them come up with the "how to" preferably in incharacter conversation would have been a better way of introducing roleplaying

Dice Rolls are two-sided sword for this. Yes the take time but they build hype and build character. Let's say for an example Scout has 2-3 sessions of absolute garbage rolls and an editor cuts them because its obviously the first thing to cut. Then one session she saves the party with a 1000-to-1 odds roll, part of that is lost because you don't have the history to build up the stakes. In a story especially one like a TTRPG anything can become a hook or payoff to something happening earlier.
Just imagine if Mori is planning something and thinks back to something that happened two sessions ago and wants to elaborate or call back to it. But it turns out the editor cut the moment from the recap so no audience member knows about it. Well that's one more plot thread in the garbage. Doing as it is gives Mori more freedom to write without having to reference somebody else's recap video to know what the audience knows.

I'm not necessarily against the idea of the occasional summary video as a supplement, but I'd never want it to be a replacement for the full session. Since the permissions side of this has already been sufficiently BTFO'd, I'll add that MOTHER 3 is sort of a rhythm game (in the same vein that Undertale is sort of a danmaku) that requires timing your button inputs along with the music with no visual cues, only trial and error. Unless you're -good- at emulation (Fubuki good, not Watson good) the resulting latency makes combat absolutely miserable. You wouldn't -want- her to emulate it

What keeps me up at night, and what we're never going to hear a word about, is what Mori and Myth thought about Aloe getting bullied out of Hololive 13 days before their own debuts began. She only has one party member right now, which drastically limits the tactical options one can take. Once we get Steve and Stacy, the game stops pulling its punches. Enemy HP scales to a point where you can no longer rely on Shrek, and even random encounters can one-shot people before too long. But your inventory size triples, along with having a lot of different characters to coordinate.
