Doesn't matter. When I was in Okinawa, I tried to cycle from Chatan where I was staying to Ginowan, which is up the steepest hill I've ever tried to cycle up. It was murder, I ended up stopping off at 2 different vending machines on the way up to rest and rehydrate. On the second of those rests, I watched a local in his 70s cycle up the whole thing in about 6 mins without breaking a sweat despite the 35 degree heat. Cyclists are just built different after a while no matter how old.
