A significant number of her members were Russian and a big reason she went to twitch was to avoid them. If you didn't watch the video she put out you wouldn't know she was no longer streaming in youtube. I find Twitch's UI to be much more cluttered and harder to navigate than YT's. Said UI also takes a much larger percentage of the screen.

Also, you have to keep in mind that Holo/Niji are on YT. It's easier to watch an indie if she's on the same platform you already use to watch other streamers you like.
On Twitch you essentially have vshojo and tons of indies nobody cares about, and them some good indies like Kana. Using a whole different platform for just one content creator is bothersome. Not saying it's impossible or even particularly hard, but it's a few more clicks she puts herself away from the average /vt/ consoomer, which in the long run translates to lower growth, which she probably doesn't mind and that's fine, but from a numberfag pov it's definitely a debuff.

Just open up another tab like you do with every website. The UI thing is just opinionated but I don't really find it hard to navigate at all. Click the following and just find the person I'm looking for. Everyone else is always on the side of the screen.

Anyway she didn't really do wrong to switch. Even if her thread dies on /vt/ it's not like there isn't a huge fanbase for vtubers already on Twitch too anyway. Her numbers are fine on Twitch.
