They do other stuff in collabs of smaller sizes. That's the tradeoff. More talents, but less giant events.
Personally, I think most Niji talents are better one on one or in small collabs than Holo talents, but Hololive puts on the best, company-wide collabs bar none.

Nijisanji did the minecraft sport festival first. Actually hololive is directly ripping off the idea all the way back to 2019.
Plus they did plenty of Minecraft events already.

Nijisanji's done tons of Minecraft events as well as tournaments in other games and across branches, etc etc. Koshien is basically their sports festival as everyone's character becomes part of a highschool baseball universe

No, if you want cross branch participation there was a pirate game stream that even had Virtuareal 1st wave, 2 weeks ago. Selen killed Kuzuha in it. The event organizers even covered the One Piece OP for the announcement stream.
